Relative to my investments, I like annuities best

My annuity portfolio provides me with a special peace of mind. I appreciate the silent performers accumulating wealth for more than two decades, providing substantial guaranteed growth without generating annual 1099s. Tax-deferred growth. That's what I call the automatic re-investment cash flow of tax dollars. Each year, the growth and interest on my annuities is credited, locked-in, and protected by the legal (statutory) reserve system of America's insurance companies.
My annuities are sheltered from the IRS, and sheltered from market risk, corporate scandals and the likes of Enron, WorldCom and, well, you know the list.
Compared to my real estate investments, my annuity portfolio provides me with a special peace of mind. My annuity portfolio bears no administrative fees, no annual maintenance fees, no upkeep expenses, no buy or sell expenses, no personal management of assets, no people on retainers to manage assets, no real estate taxes, no repairs, no zoning commissioner or city council to contend with, no storms, no droughts and no public liabilities. It doesn't keep me awake at night, nor does it call me out in the middle of the night. And, I don't have to feed, groom, or track my annuity portfolio.
Compared to my stock market investments, my annuity portfolio provides me with a special peace of mind, in that, unlike the stock market, I don't have to worry about which way the market is moving. I don't have to know when to cash in for a gain, nor do I have to know when to sell and cut my losses.
My annuity portfolio provides me with a special peace of mind, knowing that insurance companies have the legally required (statutory) reserves and the financial strength to provide the ironclad guarantees of annuities.
My annuity beneficiary form trumps all legal documents, including wills and trusts. My annuity portfolio provides me with a special peace of mind, as I know that my spouse and I, my children, and my grandchildren are protected from bankruptcy, creditors' claims, and lawsuits that might crop up in my estate when I'm no longer here to defend myself. The restricted beneficiary form gives me the privilege of converting big tax balloon payments on tax-deferred growth into streams of income over my beneficiaries' life expectancies, without the necessity of legal fees, trusts and administrative costs. The payments to my beneficiaries will be administered by my annuity company without cost.
You, too, can have that special piece of mind -- with annuities.
