Bio:
The company's president and chief executive officer, James J. Fridl has a rich history of developing new products that enhance current distribution channels and opening new markets. He has developed innovative strategies for mutual funds, insurance, annuity, trusts, consumer goods and industrial products. He is experienced in large as well as small organizations. At the Continental Group, Inc., a leading packaging, insurance and energy conglomerate, his leadership commercialized many packaging and engineering innovations. As executive vice president and chief operations officer of Beneficial Insurance Group, Mr. Fridl positioned Western National Life, now AIG Annuity, as an early entrant into bank distribution. Western National subsequently captured the top position in bank distribution. Mr. Fridl was also responsible for all life and property-casualty operations and directed 6,000 agents and employees. He was instrumental in establishing the start-up operations for the College Savings Bank, a producer of indexed certificates of deposit recently sold to Pacific Life Insurance Company. Mr. Fridl became President of A.M. Myers (now AMCORP), at the time the second largest life, annuity and mutual fund distributor to financial institutions. In 1988, Mr. Fridl formed Cross Marketing Inc. in partnership with a bank holding company and took the company private in 1990. Today the company is a leading provider of annuities, long-term care programs, trusts, life insurance, health insurance, identity theft programs and prescription services. Mr. Fridl received BS and MBA degrees from Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI.
