In 2000, when my son Jeremy and I founded the Insurance Pro Shop, our primary objective was very simple, to help insurance agents, financial advisors and financial planners to become much better marketers and sales people, so they would be far more successful in this business, and enjoy a much simpler and richer life. Over the years, we had seen too many people come into this business and leave within a year... frustrated and flat broke. And, most of the people who did manage to survive the first year were struggling just to make a decent living.
However, because of my personal experience as a Branch Manager with Met Life, (9/1989 - 2/1994) we knew that it didn't have to be that way, if those people had been properly trained and supported. As a Branch Manager, in a little over 4 years, I had hired and trained 23 new people. Eight years later 18 of them were still in the business, and all 18 were making over $100,000 per year.
It's now 10 years later, and we've been very fortune to have helped thousands of agents, advisors and planners to enjoy a much more rewarding career and life. Most of these people are now consistently earning over $20,000 per month, working less than 40 hours per week, and are able to spend more time with their families.
But, unfortunately we are still seeing and hearing about hundreds of thousands of people struggling in this business, especially in recent years, with the current economy.
Accordingly, we have been trying to come up with a very inexpensive way for everyone to get the training and support they need to survive and thrive in this great profession.
In August of 2009 we reduced the monthly investment for the Insurance Marketing and Sales Resource Center, our members' only private web site, from $49.95 per month to $9.95 per month, for all of our existing members and new members. And we locked in their membership at $9.95 for as long as they keep the membership. (It's now $12.95, and we will be increasing it to $14.95 in a month or so.)
Then a few months ago we completely revised and updated the Insurance Marketing and Sales Resource Center to make it easier to use.
Next we added "Step by Step" marketing, lead generation, prospecting, appointment setting, and sales courses. These are the best marketing and sales ideas and techniques we've learned from studying Industry Legends such as Ben Feldman, Mehdi Fakharzadeh, Woody Woodson, John Savage and others.
Now we're adding training and support from the people we consider to be the very best, most respected and trusted trainers, coaches and mentors in the industry... people like Jeffery Reeves, Maribeth Kuzmeski, Forrest Wallace Cato, Sandy Schussel, Annette Bau and others.
While most of the information, tips and techniques are not exciting or even new, they do provide the 'insider secrets' and 'tricks of the trade' that most people are either missing or have forgotten.
