At first blush, purchasing a Medicare supplement insurance policy is like buying a guaranteed issue product. But there’s only one window of opportunity to buy if you have substandard impairments. After that medical underwriting comes into play. That’s why it’s so important to choose the right carrier and the right plan. You don’t want to be subject to health issues that could disqualify you from purchasing a policy if you change carriers.
