Tips for using ProducersWEB, Pt. 1

By Lauren McNitt

You’ve joined ProducersWEB, but what next? We have a lot of old and new features you can use to promote yourself, your business and your expertise.

Tell us about yourself
First, make sure you fill out your personal and company bios as thoroughly as possible, including uploading your photo and your company logo.

We accept articles, blogs and press releases: writer’s guidelines

Do you have expertise on a certain product, have you noticed a new industry trend, or do you have valuable sales advice for those new to the industry? Write an article or blog and upload it.

Has your company released a new product, or have you written a new book? Upload the press release.

Take advantage of social media
First, add your social media pages to your ProducersWEB profile:

Go to "Edit your profile" and click on "Social Networks" in the left hand column. Then copy and paste the links to your LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter pages and click save.

Next, become friends with ProducersWEB on Facebook, join our group on LinkedIn, and follow us on Twitter (and send us a message so we can be sure to follow you, too – we try our best to @mention those of you on Twitter when we tweet your published content).

Other social media features:

If you log in to ProducersWEB using your Facebook page, you can “like” articles (including your own). Once you've "liked" an article, you’ll automatically share it with all of your Facebook friends.

Do you like an article written by one of our contributors? Follow that person to receive notifications when their content is published. Then they may follow you, too. And, remember to follow the ProWEB wire to keep up to date on industry news.

Finally, link to your profile on your website and in your weekly newsletters. Potential clients who visit your website will then be able to see that you are a published industry expert.
