It's hard to believe that the end of the third quarter ended down, even with news that Germany will assist in the European bailout. The interdependence of the global economy is more evident today than in the past. What will happen if emerging markets such as Brazil and India now get dragged in to the downward spirals?

What about the declining choice of exchange traded funds for investors who used to find them the investment of choice. Dwindling dividends of blue chip stocks make the pink and blue sheets look even more skeptical.

The question is where do we go from here? The answer will unfold, but in the meantime, strategizing is no longer a quarterly event, but a daily activity with clients.
