Long-term care policy provisions and their definitions can border on legalese because of the inherent contractual imperatives. So it’s no wonder that producers tend to steer away from products that are defined by the legal language of the contract. After all, if there’s a contestable conflict between the policy owner and the carrier, it will be fought on those contractual terms. Steve and Stephen think there’s a middle ground approach that can help the producer and consumer understand the policy benefits as they summarize their provisions.
