Financial planner ranked as the best fifth-best
career in a recent ranking of 200 jobs by CareerCast.com.
Financial planners face less stress and fewer physical demands than other jobs, and also benefit from a better working environment, the study said.
In addition, financial planners
earn more money than other careers in the top 10, with an average mid-career salary of $104,000, according to the study.
The career also ranks highly based on expected employment growth, income potential and unemployment figures.
Other jobs ranked in the top 10 included software engineers, actuaries, human resources managers and dental hygienists.
Careers ranking near the bottom according to the study include lumberjacks, dairy farmers, enlisted military personnel, oil rig workers and newspaper reporters.
