MBA: Mortgage apps down 3.1%
Mortgage applications dipped to a seasonally adjusted 3.1 percent for the week ended July 9, the Mortgage Bankers Association reports.
This figure, which represents an annual decline of 43 percent, marks the lowest level in more than 13 years.
Finally, this decline in the number of applications is due in part to the homebuyer tax credit having been extended to September 30.
