Oil climbs past $77/barrel
The price per barrel for oil this morning rose more than 80 cents to a high of $77.73 on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
This comes just days after the contract dipped 61 cents to settle at $76.01 at Friday's closing.
Meanwhile, reports from AAA indicate that the national average retail price for unleaded gasoline this morning dropped to $2.722 per gallon from the previous day's price of $2.723 per gallon.
