First Eagle names new CEO
First Eagle Investment Management has named president and COO Bridget A. Macaskill as CEO.
Macaskill replaces John Arnhold, who will remain in his position as chairman and will also become chief investment officer.
Macaskill retired in 2001 as CEO of Oppenheimer Funds, and will not oversee the day-to-day responsibilities at First Eagle.
At the end of 2009, First Eagle had approximately $39 billion in client assets, with 80 percent retail and 20 percent institutional.
