Although consumers regard big banks and insurers as trustworthy their experiences with financial planners employed by the institutions leave many disappointed.

In fact, a CoreData survey indicates that customer satisfaction levels were mixed, with many respondents saying they would hesitate to recommend his or her advisor to others.

The survey of 2000 customers of the planning arms of Bank of America, Citigroup, JPMorgan Chase and Wells Fargo, as well as AMP and AXA, shows that planners from Commonwealth Bank rated the highest with customers at a rate of 8.51 out of 10.
