Financial advisor ranks among top 25 jobs of 2012: report

Financial advisor was ranked 23rd on the recently released 25 best jobs of 2012 by U.S. News & World Report.
Jobs as financial advisors have a projected growth rate of 32.1 percent between 2010 and 2020, the report said.
The career was also boosted in the rankings due to the millions of baby boomers who will enter retirement over the coming decades, assuring a high demand for retirement planning and financial advice. The demographic surge will swell the ranks of financial advisors by approximately 66,400 jobs over the next eight years, according to the report.
The top end of financial advisors’ projected salaries for 2012 was $166,400 a year, the highest earning potential of any job listed in the top 25.
The top job in 2012 is a registered nurse, followed by software developer and pharmacist, according to the report.
