Here’s a look at self-help author Brian Tracy’s most popular books
Motivational speaker and self-help author Brian Tracy returns to the publishing world this month with "The American Spirit: Celebrating the Virtues and Values that Make Us Great." Co-written with Ed Feulner, president of the Heritage Foundation, The American Spirit is a departure from his usual fare of self-help books. However, no doubt he will touch on the entrepreneurial spirit.
With a wide range of profiles, stories and statistics that dig deep, Tracy and Feulner map out what makes us Americans. “In the U.S. today, millions of our citizens are not clear about what it means to be a ‘true American,’ reads the book description on Amazon.com. “They may never have been taught exactly what makes America exceptional or why they should be proud to be a citizen of this great country.”
In honor of the book hitting shelves this month -- and because he's one of my favorite sales gurus -- here’s a look at Brian Tracy’s most popular books:
1. "Eat That Frog!: 21 Great Ways to Stop Procrastinating and Get More Done in Less Time"
"Eat That Frog" was first published in 2001 and has since been updated with new information on how to fend off what causes us to be distracted. Why “eat that frog”? It’s a reference to a famous Mark Twain quote: “If you eat a frog first thing in the morning, that will probably be the worst thing you do all day.”
2. "Goals!: How to Get Everything You Want -- Faster Than You Ever Thought Possible"
"Goals!," a collection of non-nonsense and proven strategy, sold one million copies in its first edition. Demonstrating seven crucial elements of goal-setting and the 12 steps to get there, Tracy helps his readers attack goals of any scope.
3. "The Art of Closing the Sale: The Key to Making More Money Faster in the World of Professional Selling"
Tracy outlines a proven system to follow in order to close that deal. This formula includes building value of your product, lowering perceived risk, answering any objection and concluding a sales conversation naturally.
4. "Maximum Achievement: Strategies and Skills That Will Unlock Your Hidden Powers to Succeed"
Another book with a system, immediately apply these recommendations to join the more than one million seminar graduates who followed these principles and saw their sales soar. In addition to more income, "Maximum Achievement" helps improve other areas of your life as well.
5. "The Psychology of Selling: Increase Your Sales Faster and Easier Than You Ever Thought Possible"
Double and increase your sales with this book; its ideas have produced millionaires. The book includes the technique, strategy and methodology to immediately produce more sales.
